Website updates may be infrequent right now but the team keeps rolling on. Our latest addition is one of the best bowl and vert rippers in the Czech Republic, Michal Musil! Go check out his profile, and if you ever find yourself in Prague and near a bowl, say hi to the guy doing bonelesses in the deep end, as it’s probably Michal!
Time to clear a bit of space in the JIMMY’Z garage!
We’ve been quietly tinkering away all winter restocking on the core products and now it’s time to dust off the cobwebs and get rid of some leftover stock on some designs we’re no longer making. So if you’re in love with any of the following products, now’s the time to grab them – barring a lucky find in a vintage shop in twenty years’ time, you won’t get another chance to buy any of these!
After the Old Skool Dayz event we sponsored back in September, we’re proud to also be supporting the Shriek! Shoreham! Halloween Skate Jam. There’ll be raffles, skating and a prize for best fancy dress, so if you’re in the south of England, get over to Shoreham’s bowl (just down the road from Brighton) on Saturday night!
Need directions? Head over to their website for all the info.
Thanks to our German team manager, the Z-Team keeps on growing! The latest recruit is Karlsruhe, Germany’s Johannes Haist. At 19 years of age, Johannes is already flying high, taking podium places and demolishing parks with a diverse range of tricks. We’re expecting big things from this guy over the coming years!
Here’s one for your diaries: Shoreham Skatepark in Brighton, England is holding their annual Old Skool Dayz jam next weekend, and we’re proud to be sponsoring the event. We’ll have a stand next to the bowl where people can pick up some of our finest wares, and a selection from our team will be there representing. Expect to see Sean Goff slashing the coping, Tony Gale running freestyle demos and coaching during the downtime between sessions, and some of our young Am team and flow riders demonstrating what the next generation is capable of. We’ll also be giving out free stickers or keyrings to anyone who turns up wearing vintage JIMMY’Z gear from the 80s (Sean Goff is, of course, excluded from this offer).
So dust off your pig boards, break out the high tops and practice your bonelesses; this should be a good one!
As a teaser, here’s a little edit from 2010’s event to get you stoked…
If you’re in Cornwall for this year’s Boardmasters festival, keep an eye out for us: we’re running a JIMMY’Z stand at the event and have a whole bunch of shorts, tank tops and t-shirts available at special event prices.
Swing by, say hi, and replace your inevitably* rain-and-mud-soaked clothes!
*yes, we know that the weather report looks pretty good right now. We also know that this is Britain, and Britain has a tendency to dump torrential rain on every festival on its shores during the summer. Sorry about the reality check… maybe you should come to California?
